One man’s zeal and ambition fired more than a couple of decades ago has made Coverking a leading brand today in the field of car covers, seat covers, dash covers, sunshields, floor mats and many other auto accessories.

Working as an Industrial and Electrical Engineer with the Aerospace Defense industry in southern California, the founder of Coverking took the resolution that brought a sea change in the car cover making industry. Establishing his own company in the year 1986, he immediately invested in CAD/CAM technology in the production of dash covers. And the results were unbelievable. Not only were the designs dead accurate and the fit perfect, the production time came down fantastically. The man was elated, the industry shocked and the market belonged to the sellers.

Ever since that bright day in 1986, Coverking has been a pioneering institution in innovation and modernization. Gone were the days of cut-and-sew – they were replaced by high-grade machinery and computer generated designs that made each item of production unique in size, shape and look. In fact, the auto giant General Motors of USA were so impressed by the intrinsic superiority of Coverking’s automotive products that the company was authorized to embroider the GM logo on their products used on GM cars and trucks.

But it was not the only achievement that brought fame to the company. The use of CAD and CAM systems ensured that the output was accurate and precise and the levels of pattern quality produced were high enough for the industry to have never seen it before. The introduction of automation in the making process ensured that Coverking was able to take efficiencies to a previously unattained level and the resulting output was a better fitting product and that too in less time and money. The competitors hardly stood a chance.

Today Coverking has a worldwide market where overseas sales are negotiated through a chain of distributors who are located all over the world. While the entire US sales are controlled through the company’s South California head quarters, most of the overseas sales are channeled through the distributors.

Coverking’s product range is increasing by leaps and bounds. Starting only with a few car covers, Coverking now produces several types of car covers. Coverking’s production line has not stopped at the car cover. The company produces seat covers, dash covers, floor mats, sun shields and many more. Among some of the many plus points that Coverking is credited with is the company’s dealing with its employees that have been described by industry leaders as ‘most cordial’.
